Privacy policy

When you book a reading or send a message, the following is collected: your name, email address, birth date (for readings), the time you select, and anything you write in the notes or message field.

Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. Card numbers are never seen, received, or stored by The Number Witch — only the fact that a payment succeeded, and the amount.

Your information is used only to schedule and deliver your reading or report, to send confirmations and follow-ups by email, to answer your messages, and to keep basic records of bookings and payments as required for tax and accounting purposes.

Your information is never sold, rented, or shared for advertising. No personal information is sold or shared for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

Information is shared only with the service providers needed to run this site: the hosting and database provider that stores bookings, the payment processor that handles card payments, and the email provider used to send confirmations. Each processes information only on instruction. Information may also be disclosed if required by law.

Booking and payment records are kept for as long as needed for accounting and tax obligations, generally up to four years. Contact-form messages are kept until they are no longer needed to answer you. You can ask for your information to be deleted sooner, subject to those record-keeping obligations.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, the right to request a copy of it, the right to request correction of inaccurate information, and the right to request deletion.

You also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Because no personal information is sold or shared for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no need to opt out of such activity.

To exercise any of these rights, email sarah@thenumberwitch.com. Requests are verified by matching the email address on file with your booking, and are answered within 45 days.

What you share in a session or report is treated as private and is not discussed with anyone else or used in marketing without your written permission.

This site and these services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. Information is not knowingly collected from anyone under 18; if such information is received, it will be deleted.

Information is stored with reputable providers using encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
